In May, we touched on the difficulty of getting people engaged with useful activities; there was a general feeling that people today are less willing to volunteer than in earlier times. I (Paul) offered to talk about lessons learned from my own experience of building a large group of volunteers in the charity I led - other people are also welcome to contribute their experiences of volunteering and encouraging volunteers.
